About Golyo Tours and Travels
Born from a passion for Africa's untamed wilderness and rich cultural heritage, Golyo Tours and Travels has been crafting extraordinary wildlife experiences since its inception.
Our Story
Golyo Emmanuel was offering memorable experiences for visitors to Uganda long before he ever considered starting a tourism company. Motivated by a love for his country, pride in the diverse cultures of Uganda, and a passion for creating unique experiences, Golyo happily volunteered to show international volunteers the beauty of the place he calls home.
Eventually, a couple that Golyo was touring around Uganda asked him if he had ever considered starting his own tour company. That idea turned into a reality in 2017 when Golyo Safaris was officially registered. Since then, the company has expanded, offering trips in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda as well.
Today, Golyo Safaris (now Golyo Tours and Travel) continues to be driven by passion, not profit. Passion for the conservation of nature, the preservation of culture, and the development of young generations of Africans. For us, it’s not about the money. It’s about providing clients with memorable experiences while making a positive impact.

Golyo Emmanuel founded Golyo Safaris in 2017 with a vision to showcase Uganda's incredible biodiversity while supporting local communities. A passionate conservationist, he has personally guided over 3,000 gorilla trekking expeditions and has been instrumental in developing sustainable tourism practices in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Golyo holds a degree in Wildlife Management and has received multiple awards for his contribution to Uganda's tourism industry.
